Press Release – After the criminal complaint of BOSS in order to prevent election fraud and vote theft, the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina organized an extraordinary meeting to ensure the legality of the 2022 General Elections
After on August 19 2022 the president of BOSS Mirnes Ajanović, submitted criminal charges to all prosecutors’ offices in BiH, SIPA and FUP with a request to conduct special investigative actions with the aim of effectively preventing election fraud, buying and stealing votes in the General Elections 2022, an extraordinary meeting of prosecutors and police agencies was held in the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 23 2022 in order to ensure the integrity and legality of the 2022 elections, including activities from the very beginning until the end of the process and the final announcement of election results.
At the meeting, the necessary preconditions for the successful realization of elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina were analyzed, which includes the prevention of illegality, as well as the sanctioning and prosecution of criminal offenses related to the electoral process. We would like to remind you that BOSS filed a criminal complaint due to suspicion of the intention of an organized criminal group to commit crimes for the General Elections 2022 under Article 154 – Electoral fraud, Article 150 – Deprivation of the right to vote, Article 151 – Violation of freedom of choice of voters of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in connection with Article 250 – Organized crime from the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for which prison sentences of at least five years are prescribed for perpetrators and at least ten years for organizers of criminal activities, i.e. party presidents and party leaders.
The president of BOSS, Mirnes Ajanović, requested in the criminal complaint that the prosecutor's office and SIPA, including other police authorities, by order of the competent court, install devices for secret recording at polling stations where votes will be cast and counted, that is, to provide surveillance, technical audio and video recording, secret monitoring of election board members, use of police investigators in plainclothes and other special investigative actions in order to act preventively in order to prevent electoral fraud and vote theft, but also to arrest perpetrators of criminal acts.
BOSS forwarded this information to all political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of warning that any intention of electoral fraud and theft of votes will be subject to investigation and criminal prosecution by judicial authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
